CLOVIS, New Mexico (KCBD) – A 13-year-old has been hospitalized after being in Clovis, New Mexico. Police reports indicate a person drove by a party around 2:30 a.m. Saturday at an apartment complex near North Reid and West 6th streets and shot into the crowd, hitting the teen.
The victim was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center, then flown to a Lubbock hospital with life threatening wounds. Clovis Police have since reported he is in critical condition, but stable.
A person of interest has also been located. Clovis Police say 23-year-old Jesus Mandujano is connected to the shooting, though they have not specified how he is involved. They are still asking for tips in this investigation.
