FORT WORTH – Nada Pharmakis went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the age of 86. Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Nada was born on July 31, 1939, to Willie Iler Marable and Nadine Emily Meeks in Canton, Texas. Nada and her husband, George, made Fort Worth their home with their three children in 1966. Nada worked in the school cafeteria at Theodore Willis when her children were younger. She later became the manager at Tiffany’s Bakery in Ridgmar Mall, where she made many lifelong friends. From there, she moved to the information booth at Ridgmar Mall. For her last job, she shared her talents at Children’s Courtyard Daycare, where she thoroughly enjoyed cooking and baking for all the children. She retired at the age of 62. Nada enjoyed sewing for her kids and grandkids when they were younger. She loved doing crafts, painting holiday shirts, canning, and reading. She was a great cook and baker, and everyone especially looked forward to her holiday baking. She loved all things Disney and took her last trip to Disney World at the age of 82. She spent many hours putting together family photo albums, but her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. Known as “Nanny” to most, you could find her in the bleachers and/or audience watching her grandkids and later her great-grandkids as they competed in various sports and activities throughout the years. She loved all the holidays when everyone was together, with her birthday and Christmas being her favorites. Nada was a beautiful, strong, and kind soul who left us too soon. She is already so deeply missed by her family. Nada was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George Pharmakis. She is survived by her son, Jim Pharmakis and wife, Olivia; her son, Rusty Pharmakis and wife, Susanne; her daughter, Deanette Porter and husband, Jimmy; her grandchildren, Cameron Pharmakis and wife, Jennifer; Nicholas Porter and wife, Amy; Cassidi Fincher and husband, Kyle; Thor Pharmakis and wife, Kenna; Alex Pharmakis and wife, Lilly; and her great-grandchildren; Parker, Paisley, Evelyn, Marielle, Loxley, and Mack.
