There’s no question that Texas Tech University’s reputation for excellence is growing. One measure of that fact is the sheer number
of times the teams working to promote the university have been recognized for their
exceptional efforts.
Over the last five months, Texas Tech’s Marketing & Communications and Advancement teams have received 45 awards from industry peers, including 10 national and 10 international
honors, and Videographer of the Year. Together, these represent an outstanding body
of storytelling, design, photography and video that are gaining attention far beyond
West Texas.
“We strive to build emotional connections to the Texas Tech brand,” said Matt Dewey,
vice president for Marketing & Communications. “That we’re clearly succeeding, even
among our higher education peers who have no connection to Texas Tech, shows us we’re
making a difference in how Texas Tech is perceived across the country and around the
world. That’s tremendously exciting.”
In July, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s (CASE) international
Circle of Excellence Awards recognized the “ON&ON Campaign Boutique Invitation” with
a Gold Award in the invitation design category and the “I Give Because/Because You
Gave” video series with a Bronze Award in the video fundraising category.
