Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect warm temperatures and a low chance of rain showers this week.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Derek Dornsise said residents could be seeing some scattered storms Tuesday, with the rain drying up Wednesday through Friday before more rain chances come back Saturday.
Dornsise said cloud coverage will keep temperatures in the mid 90s, but temperatures will be back up in the upper 90s, approaching 100 degrees by the end of the week.
“Keep an eye on the isolated storm chances today and tomorrow and again this weekend,” Dornsise said.
Weekly Outlook
Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 97 and a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. during the day. Mostly cloudy with a low around 77 and a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m. at night.
Wednesday: Sunny and hot with a high near 99 during the day. Mostly clear with a low around 81 at night.
Thursday: Sunny and hot with a high near 100 and wind gusts as high as 25 mph during the day. Mostly clear with a low around 79 and wind gusts as high as 25 mph at night.
Friday: Sunny and hot with a high near 100 during the day. Mostly clear with a low around 79 at night.
Saturday: Sunny with a high near 99 during the day. Partly cloudy with a low around 79 at night.
Sunday: Mostly sunny with a high near 97 during the day and a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with a low around 79 at night.
