Corpus Christi man jailed on indecency with a child charges

A Corpus Christi man is facing felony charges after being arrested by the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office on allegations involving a child.
Raul Pena, 35, was booked into the Nueces County Jail Saturday, according to jail records.
Pena is charged with indecency with a child by exposure and indecency with a child by sexual contact.
Jail records show bond was set at $100,000 for the indecency with a child by exposure charge. No bond has been set on the indecency with a child by sexual contact charge.
Under Texas law, indecency with a child by sexual contact is a second-degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison upon conviction. Indecency with a child by exposure is a third-degree felony punishable by two to 10 years in prison.
