The chicken can also be seasoned with its signature lava sauce. The restaurant focuses on bold, flavor-first Halal chicken and has a “spice ladder” with five levels according to its website.

Lava Hot Chicken Owner Sam Sakhleh said the business started first in Rowlett, Texas. Plano is its second location, with two more coming soon in Little Elm and Richardson.
