The Little Rock-Fox Fire Protection District assisted with a water rescue early Sunday near Hale and Needham roads, south of Plano, after water began encroaching on homes.
Officials say the roadway was submerged, and several people needed help getting to safety.
Crews from Little Rock-Fox, the Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection District, Oswego Fire Protection District and Plano Police Department used a boat to assist two residents. Another resident was able to get out independently.
The incident happened at about 3:40 a.m. following heavy rain and storms Saturday.
