HOUSTON – TxDOT announced Tuesday the closure of I-45/North Freeway at Crosstimbers in both directions for the bridge repairs.
Repairs will begin at 9 p.m. Friday, July 10 and end at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 11.
The closures will alternate between directions.
Here are the following details of the closure and detour:
Friday, July 10 at 9 p.m. until Saturday, July 11 at 11 a.m.
IH 45 southbound at Crosstimbers: Three (3) inside/left lanes closed – One (1) outside/right lane will remain open to traffic. The entrance ramp from Airline will be closed. The reopening of the southbound lanes could occur earlier, depending on how safely the Contractor can complete the repairs.
Saturday, July 11 at 11 a.m. until Saturday, July 11 at 5 p.m.
IH 45 northbound at Crosstimbers: Three (3) inside/left lanes closed – Upon completion of the southbound operations, the Contractor will switch to the northbound bridge structure and close the three (3) inside/left lanes, leaving one (1) outside/right lane open.
Motorists may experience delays.
