AUSTIN, Texas — A total of six former University of Texas men’s basketball standouts are on NBA Summer League 2026 rosters. Max Abmas (Utah Jazz), Tre Johnson (Washington Wizards), Arthur Kaluma (Los Angeles Lakers), Jayson Kent (Portland Trail Blazers), Tramon Mark (Phoenix Suns) and Dailyn Swain (Chicago Bulls) are all set to play in the NBA’s summer circuit during the month of July.

Abmas, who finished his Texas career in the 2023-24 season, has played for the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G League in each of the last two years. He saw action in 47 games in the Tip-Off Tournament and the regular season in 2025-26 and averaged 16.4 points and 4.7 assists in 29.3 minutes per contest while converting 37.6-percent from three-point range and 83.8-percent from the free throw line.

Johnson was selected as the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards. He played in 60 games (42 starts) last season for the Wizards and averaged 12.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 24.1 minutes per contest while hitting 35.8-percent from three-point range and 87.4-percent from the free throw line.

Kaluma, who completed his Texas career in 2024-25, played for the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League last year. He played in 35 games and averaged 14.6 points and 5.0 rebounds in 26.4 minutes per game while hitting 54.5-percent from the floor, including a 36.4-percent mark from three-point range, and 84.5-percent from the free throw line.

Kent finished his Texas career in 2024-25 and was signed to an NBA two-way contract by the Portland Trail Blazers on March 3, 2026. He played in five games for the Trail Blazers last year and averaged 2.0 points and 1.0 rebound in 4.4 minutes per contest. Kent also saw action in 46 games for the Rip City Remix in the NBA G League last season and averaged 12.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per game while hitting 49.6-percent from the floor, including a 39.5-percent mark from three-point range, and 90.0-percent from the free throw line.

Mark recently completed his collegiate career and played in 172 career games (130 starts) during his six years at Texas (2024-26), Arkansas (2023-24) and Houston (2020-23). He posted collegiate career totals of 2,010 points, 655 rebounds, 311 assists and 173 steals. During Texas’ 36 games (36 starts) this season, Mark ranked second on the team in steals (34) and blocks (19) and third in scoring (14.0 ppg), assists (66) and minutes (28.3 mpg) while hitting 47.4-percent (184-388) from the floor.

Swain was selected as the No. 15 pick by the Chicago Bulls in the 2026 NBA Draft on June 23. Swain spent one season at Texas (2025-26) and two years previously at Xavier (2023-25) before turning professional. He played in 99 career games (72 starts) and recorded collegiate totals of 1,128 points, 545 rebounds, 254 assists and 142 steals. During his junior season at Texas, Swain was one of five finalists for the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award and was tabbed SEC Newcomer of the Year, All-SEC Second Team (by the league’s coaches) and first-team NABC All-Gulf District. He was the only player in a D1 major conference to lead his team in at least five different major statistical categories, as he paced the Longhorns in scoring (17.3 ppg), rebounding (7.5 rpg), assists (129), steals (59) and minutes (32.8 mpg).  

All 30 NBA teams are scheduled to compete in the NBA Summer League 2026 on July 9-19 in Las Vegas.
