Romanos is accused of helping her stepson, Christopher Preciado, hide the bodies of Soto and Guerra after investigators say he shot and killed the couple following a drug deal. She, along with Christopher’s father, Ramon Preciado, who is also accused of helping, face charges of altering or destroying evidence, concealing a human corpse, and tampering with evidence.

Ramon Preciado is currently out on bond, while both Romanos and Christopher remain in custody. Christopher’s trial is set for February 2, 2026, while Ramon Preciado does not yet have a trial date.
