CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A trip to Bob Hall Pier may soon cost visitors a few extra dollars.

According to the Nueces County Coastal Parks Department, the popular fishing and sightseeing destination is expected to begin charging admission fees by the middle of July.

Under the proposed pricing structure, general admission will cost $3 per person, while anglers will pay an additional $4 for each fishing pole brought onto the pier.

County officials say discounts will be available for seniors, active military members, and disabled veterans.

The new fees come as improvements and future additions continue at the pier. Officials say they are currently searching for restaurant operators and hope to have a dining option in place by Spring Break 2027.

Bob Hall Pier has long been a popular destination for fishing, sightseeing, and enjoying views of the Gulf, making the upcoming changes one many visitors will likely notice during the busy summer season.
