Port Arthur — Carl Richardson could easily be described as the “Music Man”. Richardson, 47, has been playing a musical instrument since his early teens, starting with the trumpet in 8th grade at Vidor Junior High.
He also plays guitar, piano and the drums, but his passion is being a bassist.
Richardson performs weekly, and when not on stage, he’s teaching future musicians at Lamar State College Port Arthur.

Richardson’s hometown of Vidor honored the musician by inducting him into the city’s Walk of Fame, which celebrates entertainers with ties to the local community.
