Full Disclosure: while I was never a regular at CC’s Bar and Grill, I did go there several times, and each time I had a great time. From dirt-cheap late-night pints with friends to cozy afternoon hangs, it was a place to make memories. Sadly, it now appears that memories may be all we have now.

Details About CC’s Bar and Grill Closing In Lubbock

Details are somewhat limited; however, the 806er Official reported the closure after speaking with an employee, who was not named. The employee gave the very vague reason, “Can’t give actual statements as to why because it has to do with the city,” which could mean almost anything, and I’ll let you come to your own conclusion, if you will. It may even be possible that CC’s is just closed for now, not for forever.

Lubbock Responds to CCs Bar Closing

There are many comments on the 806ers post, most of which reflect similar sentiments: the service was top-knotch, afternoons were mellow, and any problems the bar had were due to disrespectful or rowdy patrons:

Been going to Ccs for a long time had some great time’s and great memories n made some good friends there

Just for people to move to another bar/club/motel and do the exact thing! Stop blaming places blame the people who cant act like adults !

It was a really nice place to hang out after work 4 to 7ish, after that it was a whole different atmoshere which caused the majority of their bad reputation. The waitresses were really attentive and their food was really good for being what it was. Every friday they would break bread with anyone who showed up after 5, what other small bar would do that?. Im sad to see it close but I do understand why. I hope the owner finds another place to open with the same hospitality but maybe better patrons in the evenings who want to enjoy theirselves without the drama.

The last comment reflects my experience as well- it was a cozy, attentive place in the early evenings and I will certainly miss that. And I also hope the owner and employees can take that level of service and kindness to another location, hopefully with more respectful patrons, or reopen this location under better auspices.
