El Paso County deputies find missing children from Oklahoma, woman arrested

  • November 5, 2025

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Deputies said they arrested a woman Sunday after they reportedly found her with three missing children from Oklahoma.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO), Danielle LeGrande, 30, called 911 at 4:56 a.m., claiming people were following her and trying to kill her.

Deputies said during the call, LeGrande “made several incoherent statements” before abruptly hanging up.

EPCSO said a family member later contacted dispatch after learning of LeGrande’s 911 call through a shared location phone application. The relative reportedly told deputies LeGrande was the subject of an involuntary missing person alert.

According to the sheriff’s office, the Tecumseh Police Department in Oklahoma confirmed LeGrande was the subject of the alert, and she was traveling with three children who were all listed as missing and endangered.

Dispatchers worked with the family member to track LeGrande’s location, while deputies searched for LeGrande at her last known location in Cascade, located in unincorporated El Paso County.

Deputies said they received information that she was in the city of Colorado Springs, where they ultimately found LeGrande, a man and three children.

EPCSO said no one involved was injured.

LeGrande was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation and later booked into the El Paso County Jail on a no-bond warrant from Oklahoma related to this incident.

One of the children was released to their father at the scene. The other two children were taken to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, where they were placed in the care of the Department of Human Services.
