EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A new limited-edition handbag collaboration is putting an El Paso boot maker in the national spotlight.
Coach has partnered with El Paso’s Rocketbuster Handmade Custom Boots to create the limited-edition “Tabby Collection” bags, designed to celebrate the fusion of American artisanal techniques and local craftsmanship.
According to Coach’s website, the Tabby Shoulder Bag is made of natural grain leather and features hand-worked floral leather inlays and hand-painted butterfly motifs, finished with an outside pocket and Coach’s signature hardware. The compact style has two detachable straps to carry by hand, style as a short shoulder bag, or wear crossbody.
The local boot store shared the collaboration on social media, stating that the “fun project” is part of a limited collection that launched on July 1.
According to Coach’s website, the bags are sold in two colors, wine and black, both retailing for $2,995.
While the black style is listed as sold out, the wine style is still available for purchase at Coach’s website.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time Rocketbuster has made headlines, as the iconic boot store was visited by Mexican singers Christian Nodal and Angela Aguilar in November 2025 ahead of their concert in the borderland.
Previously speaking to KFOX14/CBS4, El Paso artist Carolina “Kako” Villarreal, who is the head painter at the boot shop, said the two singers visited to buy boots before Aguilar’s “La Princesa del Regional Mexicano” concert at the Plaza Theatre, part of her “Libre Corazón Tour.”
Rocketbuster Handmade Custom Boots is located at 115 Anthony St., near the Amtrak Station, behind the Southwest Stadium.
