As the San Antonio metro continues its rapid expansion, Schertz Station is emerging as one of the region’s fastest-growing retail and entertainment destinations.
The growing I-35 development is adding more big-name brands as it becomes one of the area’s newest shopping and dining destinations as the hub in Schertz is continuing to grow, with more restaurants, retailers and businesses planned for the booming corridor.

Schertz Station, the 72-acre development near I-35 and Cibolo Valley Drive, has quickly become one of the area’s most recognizable commercial projects, bringing a mix of popular chains, local businesses and entertainment options to northeast San Antonio.

The development, nearly 21 miles from downtown San Antonio, sits along one of the busiest stretches of the corridor, which sees more than 151,000 vehicles daily, according to the project’s website.
Anchored by EVO Entertainment, Schertz Station was designed as a destination combining restaurants, shopping, services and future housing in one walkable development.

Retailers and service businesses have also joined the project, including James Avery Artisan Jewelry and an upcoming Infinity Nail Bar.
Several more big names are expected to arrive soon. The Home Depot have been announced for Schertz Station, while updated site plans indicate Hopdoddy Burger Bar is also planned for the development.

New restaurants could soon join lineup
Recent construction filings show even more dining options could be headed to Schertz Station.

A $1 million tenant finish-out has been filed for Wonder, a growing restaurant concept that combines multiple menus under one roof.
The project calls for renovations to nearly 4,000 square feet, with construction expected to begin in July and wrap up in October 2026.
Another filing shows Fork to Fit Kitchen is preparing a new location at Schertz Station. The healthy meal-prep company plans to renovate about 1,200 square feet, with construction scheduled from August through November.

Schertz Station’s expansion comes as the northeast San Antonio area continues seeing major growth, with new housing, businesses and infrastructure reshaping the corridor.
With more restaurants, shopping and entertainment options on the way, the development is quickly becoming a key destination for residents in Schertz, Cibolo, Selma and surrounding communities.
