Galleria Dallas has teamed up with the Dallas-based nonprofit Catch Up & Read to offer story times throughout the month of July.
The story times at the mall are Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
On Wednesdays, Storytimes will feature local children’s authors, including Jenn Hill, Kenna Sosa, Rosie J. Pova, Erica Asante, and Ha Dinh, followed by a special pop-up activity inspired by the featured author and their book, hosted by Camp Crafty.
Friday readings will be led by literacy coaches. All readings will take place on Level 3 near The Play Place.
They also provide a family toolkit on their website to help families continue reading at home. Making it fun and effective while students are out of school for the summer.
NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 are Reading With You all summer long with fun and innovative ways to keep kids engaged in their literacy skills. There you can find titles for every age in English and Spanish and ways to earn free food and prizes, just for reading.
