Frontage lanes on SH-99 Grand Parkway at FM 529 are currently shut down
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting in northwest Harris County early Friday morning.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a shooting around 2:48 a.m. on the northbound lanes of SH-99 (Grand Parkway) near FM 529/Freeman Road.
When deputies arrived, they found a man inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
No information has been released about the victim’s identity or what led to the shooting. Authorities have also not said whether a suspect has been identified or taken into custody.
All frontage lanes on SH-99 Grand Parkway at FM 529 are currently shut down while deputies investigate.
The investigation remains ongoing.
