The California-based fast-casual chain will celebrate its July 24 grand opening with buy-one-get-one-free meals
North Texans are about to get their first taste of one of the West Coast’s most popular Hawaiian fast-casual brands. Ono Hawaiian BBQ is opening its first Texas location in Plano on July 24, marking the brand’s entry into the Lone Star State after more than two decades of growth across California and Arizona.
Located at 8724 Preston Road, the new restaurant is the first of several planned Texas locations as the company continues its national expansion.
Bringing Hawaiian Plate Lunches To North Texas
Ono Hawaiian BBQ is best known for its Hawaiian-inspired plate lunches, prepared fresh daily and served with the traditional combination of two scoops of rice and macaroni salad.
The Plano menu will feature many of the brand’s signature dishes, including:
BBQ Chicken
BBQ Beef
Kalbi Short Ribs
Island Fire Chicken
Chicken Katsu
Seafood selections
Spam Musubi
The restaurant also includes a drive-thru, giving guests the option to enjoy made-to-order meals on the go.
A Milestone Expansion
The Plano opening represents a significant milestone for Ono Hawaiian BBQ as it expands beyond its established markets in California and Arizona.
“Texas has long been a market we’re excited about, and we’re thrilled to introduce Ono Hawaiian BBQ to Dallas,” said Joshua Liang, co-founder and CEO of Ono Hawaiian BBQ. “Our goal has always been to share the flavors and aloha spirit through fresh, quality food and genuine hospitality. We look forward to becoming part of the Dallas community and welcoming guests to experience what has made Ono Hawaiian BBQ a favorite for more than two decades.”
The company says the Plano restaurant is the first of multiple locations planned for Texas as it continues introducing its island-inspired menu to new markets across the country.
To celebrate its Texas debut, Ono Hawaiian BBQ will host a grand opening on July 24 featuring a buy one, get one free offer available all day, giving guests an opportunity to sample the restaurant’s menu.
