NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 have partnered with Bachman Lake Together, a nonprofit organization based in the Bachman Lake neighborhood in Northwest Dallas, to support their mission to cultivate a thriving neighborhood where children and their families can succeed.

Bachman Lake Together was formed in 2014 with the commitment to fund and coordinate early education work in the Bachman Lake neighborhood. They work to ensure that children within the neighborhood have the right tools and opportunities to succeed now and for generations to come. To do so, the organization focuses on four critical issues:

Early Childhood (Birth – 2nd grade) – Promote an increased awareness of early education, pre-k enrollment, and access to high-quality programs.

Upper Elementary (3rd – 6th grade) – Supports early learning gains in nearby schools with access to academic enrichment during and after school.

Parent leadership & advocacy – Works with community partners to better equip parents and provide them with opportunities to become leaders in their community.

Family well-being – Offers access to programs and resources with their partners to meet family needs, including mental health counseling and fresh food access.

The Bachman Lake Together Family Center is located in the heart of the Bachman Lake neighborhood and offers a place for families to access resources, to connect and build meaningful relationships, and for parents to strengthen their leadership roles. Parents are encouraged to visit the center and learn more about the services offered. The center is open to families Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
