If you’re looking for an easy way to cool off from the West Texas heat, 7-Eleven Day returns on Saturday, July 11, with its annual free Slurpee giveaway. This year’s celebration also marks the 60th anniversary of the iconic frozen drink, giving customers even more reason to stop by participating locations.

Free Slurpees Available at Participating Lubbock Stores

On July 11, participating 7-Eleven, Stripes, and Speedway locations will offer one free small Slurpee while supplies last between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. No purchase is required, although participation may vary by location.

For Lubbock folks, that means checking your nearest participating 7-Eleven or Stripes convenience store early in the day, as the annual promotion is one of the retailer’s most popular summer events.

New Flavor Debuts for the 60th Anniversary

To celebrate six decades of Slurpee drinks, 7-Eleven has introduced a limited-time Mountain Dew Confetti Chill Slurpee. The flavor blends citrus notes with hints of vanilla icing, creating a birthday cake-inspired frozen drink that will be available through late August, while supplies last.

More Than Just a Free Frozen Drink

This year’s promotion includes more than the traditional giveaway. Select stores across the country are hosting special “Slurpee Date” experiences with photo opportunities and limited-edition double straws, although these special events are only available at select locations and are not expected at every Texas store.
