Entering Week 11 of the season, several area teams are still alive in the College Football Playoff race.

Three area teams — Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Texas and Oklahoma — all appeared in the initial College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday. Not there was SMU, which after an upset of Miami, and a Georgia Tech loss to NC State, suddenly has a legitimate path at making the ACC championship.

As teams fight for a spot in the top 12, the Dallas Morning News’ experts are back to pick 20 Week 11 games, both straight and against the spread.

Topping our area matchups, No. 8 Texas Tech is hosting No. 7 BYU in a matchup with major playoff and Big 12 implications. The Red Raiders are favored by 10.5 points.
