A fast-growing bakery chain known for its Korean-inspired pastries and cakes is adding another location in North Texas as it continues its rapid expansion across the state.

Paris Baguette has opened a new bakery café in Plano, marking the company’s 27th location in Texas and continuing a years-long push into some of the state’s fastest-growing markets.

The new café, located at 5500 State Highway 121, is owned by franchisees C.J. Singh and Punya Kushalappa, who said they were drawn to the brand through a shared passion for coffee and hospitality.

“Some partnerships are built in conference rooms. Ours was built over coffee,” Singh and Kushalappa said in a statement. “Our shared passion for coffee and hospitality inspired us to create a place where people can slow down, connect, and enjoy exceptional food and beverages together.”

Founded in South Korea, Paris Baguette has become one of the world’s largest bakery café chains, with more than 4,000 locations globally and more than 300 across North America. The company says it plans to grow to 1,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada by 2030.

Texas has become one of the brand’s biggest expansion markets.

Paris Baguette has spent the past several years steadily growing its footprint across the Houston area, opening locations in communities including Spring Branch, The Woodlands and Kingwood while announcing additional expansion plans throughout Greater Houston.

The Plano café represents the company’s latest step in that strategy as it continues adding stores throughout North Texas.

“We’re on a mission to re-establish the neighborhood bakery café as the heart of the community across the U.S.,” Paris Baguette CEO Darren Tipton said in a statement.
