Count down to our The Good Stuff 10th Anniversary Block Party with 10 of “the good stuff” about Plano.

For the 10 days leading up to our 10th anniversary block party, we’re counting down 10 things we love about Plano by celebrating The Good Stuff. What is the good stuff, you ask?

This year, Plano ranked third in the best places in the nation to raise a family. What makes Plano so family-friendly?

Education – Plano ISD ranked with a perfect ‘100’ score on the 2024-2025 School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas and a ‘B’ rating for the past two school years.
Plano parks – Plano ranked best in the state and 17th in the nation for its investment in the local parks system.
Low-crime – In the WalletHub study, Plano ranked fifth in the nation for health and safety, due to its place as the tenth-lowest violent crime rate per capita and 29th-lowest property crime rate per capita.

“Finding the best place to raise a family is difficult, between balancing an affordable cost of living with good educational opportunities, safety and enough recreation to keep kids entertained,” said WalletHub Analyst Chip Lupo. “On top of all of these factors, people also often want to raise their children close to their extended family. Therefore, current or prospective parents can benefit from narrowing down their choices to a few of the best cities that are within a reasonable drive of their family.”
