The fun is almost over. After hosting eight games during the FIFA World Cup, AT&T Stadium is getting ready to host its ninth and final matchup, the most of any one stadium during the tournament. But for anyone curious on how much it actually costs to see some of the biggest stars in world soccer, we’ll tell you right now it isn’t cheap.
France is set to play either Spain or Belgium in the semifinals on Tuesday, July 14, (we’re writing this before Spain and Belgium play in the quarterfinals). As far as tickets, you’re going to be paying the most expensive nose bleeds of your life. Seat Geek shows tickets to the semifinal starting at $1,814 in section 407 and going as high as $231,000 for a Star Suite seat. Meanwhile on Ticketmaster, prices start at $1,963 for section 405, while the most expensive seat is going for $12,257, also in section 405.
But let’s add another wrinkle into this. Let’s say you’re an international fan wanting to come watch the team. That means you’ll need plane tickets there and back. According to Google Flights, economy tickets from Paris range between $2,146 and $2,665, double that for a round trip and you could be paying more than $5,000 depending on the airline.
Roundtrip economy flights from Madrid to Dallas charge between $3,286 to $3,524, while flights from Brussels to Dallas and back cost between $2,562 and $3,306. Without even adding food, hotel and Uber fees, a ticket to the FIFA World Cup and the travel expenses mean these fans are probably paying at least $6,000 per person just to see their teams play at Cowboy Stadium.
