CIUDAD JUAREZ, MEXICO (KFOX14/CBS4) — Mexican authorities said they seized 1000 fentanyl pills and a rocket launcher from a couple on Sunday as part of a homicide investigation.

According to the State Secretary of Public Security (SSPE) in Chihuahua, Jonathan G.R. and Maritza P. G. were arrested after they were allegedly discovered to have an anti-tank bazooka, four rifles, one handgun, 580 rounds of live ammunition and approximately 1,000 fentanyl pills.

This happened Sunday afternoon in the Parajes del Sol neighborhood during a homicide investigation, where two vehicles, a Toyota Corolla and a Ford Escape SUV, were found to been linked.

Investigators said the weapons were in plain view.
