A popular pub in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is speaking out after a viral video accused its team of discrimination. In a since-deleted TikTok video, a woman said she was denied entry to The Londoner Pub‘s Addison location at 14930 Midway Rd., in what she believes was an act of racism.
The original video, posted by @1krenee, has since been deleted, along with her account. However, screen recordings of the TikTok continue to circulate online.
In one screen recording posted by @thecarolinadiamond, @1krenee alleged she was initially turned away after being told the pub was full. Then she claimed other guests who arrived after her were allowed inside. @1krenee alleged when she questioned why, she was told she could enter if she paid $5.
“I was about to pay it, but I was like, ‘You know what? No, I’m not paying that because you didn’t ask that man,'” she said.
As she walked away, @1krenee alleged she saw a white couple enter without being asked to pay. “No fee, no anything,” she said, before concluding, “So if you’re Black, you’re probably not welcome at The Londoner.”
The pub addressed the allegations in a Facebook post Sunday morning, claiming @1krenee arrived at halftime of a match, hours after the space reached capacity. The pub alleged all guests were charged a cover upon initial entry and that those seen coming and going had previously been admitted.
In an additional statement Monday, The Londoner said it had privately contacted @1krenee to apologize for the misunderstanding before responding publicly. The pub claimed that although the two sides were unable to resolve the matter privately, it felt it was important to share its perspective with the community. The Londoner reiterated that all guests were required to pay an entry fee, that the venue had reached maximum occupancy “well before” kickoff and that those who reentered wore wristbands showing they had previously been admitted.
“We want to be absolutely clear: race was never a factor in who was admitted. Our security team has partnered with us for years, and our policies are applied consistently to every guest,” read the statement. “The only determining factors that day were venue capacity and whether a guest had a wristband for re-entry.
“The Londoner has always been a place where people from every background come together to celebrate the game we all love,” the statement continued. “We are proud of the diverse community that has supported us for many years, and we remain committed to treating every guest with respect, fairness and hospitality.”
The Londoner has yet to respond to Chron’s request for additional comment.
The Londoner, which has three other locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, has been open in Addison for 30 years. With multiple TVs throughout its space, the English-style pub has become a popular game day spot for live sporting events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament. Several recent event flyers posted on Facebook advertised no cover charge for other matches. For Saturday’s Norway-England match, however, the pub advertised a $5 cover—the same amount the woman said she was asked to pay.
