COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – On Tuesday, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a 17-year-old female on charges related to multiple shootings in the Cheyenne Mountain Estates area in May.
The first shooting took place overnight on May 11, near the 8100 block of Piute Road in unincorporated El Paso County. A caller reported a group of teenagers outside of their home.
One member of the group allegedly fired multiple rounds toward the home, hitting both the home and several nearby vehicles. No injuries were reported.
When deputies arrived, they searched the area but could not locate any suspects.
The next night, May 12 around 2:30 a.m., the victim reached out to dispatch a second time, saying the same people had returned and were banging on their front door. Investigators said a suspect fired a gun in the direction of the victim.
A vehicle fled the scene but returned twice more, firing shots at the home each time.
On May 27, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Springs Police Department executed multiple search warrants in relation to the incidents.
Investigators arrested a juvenile on June 22 and booked her into the Zebulon Pike Youth Services Center on the following charges:
