LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Los Hermanos Familia is hosting its 17th annual Vamos a Pescar, Let’s Go Fishing event on Saturday, August 8.
The free event will take place from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Buddy Holly Lake off North University. You must RSVP ahead of the event.

Please review the following information before registering:
Registration must include at least one adult (18+) and one child (under 18). Each participant attending the event must be registered individually.For grant reporting purposes, you will be asked to provide each participant’s age, gender, and ethnicity.Please plan for all members of your group to check in together. Pre-registered participants may check in beginning at 5 a.m.This is a non-competitive family fishing event. No fishing license is required.A limited number of loaner fishing poles will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.The lake will be stocked with catfish. While we cannot guarantee a catch, we can guarantee an opportunity to spend quality time outdoors and create lasting memories with family and friends.
