ROCKPORT, Texas — The city of Rockport will begin its annual road sealcoat project Monday, July 20.
The city contracts with the Aransas County Road and Bridge Department to complete the project. The work rotates through different areas of the city on an ongoing basis, according to a City of Rockport news release.

Flyers have been distributed to residents and businesses located in the affected areas.
The project will include applying tack oil and sealcoating streets. Officials expect the work to take about one week to complete.
Residents and contractors are asked not to park on streets in work zones between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. to help prevent damage to vehicles while crews are working.
Officials also ask residents with well irrigation systems to limit their use between 7 p.m. and midnight during the project.
