There is much pain the the world, but not at San Antonio’s summer Disco Alfresco dance events – where the lights are bright, the drinks are cold, and the music is hot, hot, hot.
Founded in 2017 by Soundcream DJs Andres Rizo and Danielle Collier, the beloved open-air series spun back into San Antonio this July with fresh digs at the Sunken Garden Theater. While the dance party previously operated as a free event, a new admission fee will set party-goers back $5 a pop plus fees for adults.Why?

“Five dollars is the cost of keeping this thing alive and making it bigger than it has ever been,” the event’s organizers said in a release. “The production is larger … The artists are coming from across Texas. The SoundCream Airstream is rolling onto a real stage for the first time in its history.”
While adults now have to pay the new admission fee, entry to the family-friendly event is still free for children under the age of 15. Additionally, parking is free and guests are encouraged to bring their own coolers to make a night of it with family and friends.
