ST. LOUIS — A Texas man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he drove onto the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s campus in St. Louis with seven guns inside his truck.
According to a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department probable cause statement, 42-year-old Christopher Cerro from Millican, Texas drove onto the NGA’s west campus on July 6 in a black Chevrolet Silverado at about 7:45 a.m. Authorities said he got through an initial security checkpoint marked with signs saying that unauthorized entry into the restricted area is prohibited and that firearms and ammo are banned on NGA property.
Investigators said Cerro then arrived at a second checkpoint, where he tried to enter the complex alongside NGA employees. After reportedly failing to produce proper identification, officers told him to get out of the vehicle, as well as asked if he had any guns on him or inside the truck.
According to police, Cerro admitted that he did.

NGA officers first found one gun between the driver’s seat and center console of the truck. A further search of the pickup revealed six more firearms throughout the vehicle. The guns recovered were: Springfield XD .45-caliber pistol, a Selbstlader pistol, a Colt .45-caliber revolver, a Sig Sauer AR-style rifle, a Mauser 9mm pistol, a Winchester rifle, and a Bergara rifle.
Court documents do not suggest that Cerro threatened anyone or failed to comply with orders from the officers.
On July 8, Cerro was charged with seven counts of unlawful use of a weapon by carrying a concealed firearm. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 5.
