EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – An El Paso County deputy was arrested on Tuesday, accused of unlawful sexual contact.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) said it recieved a call for service at a business in the 6800 block of Fountain Mesa Road, south of Fontaine Boulevard.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, a reporting party said that an adult man entered the business and inappropriately touched an adult woman. The victim reportedly did not know the suspect.
The suspect had left the business before deputies arrived.
EPSO began an investigation and identified the suspect as 34-year-old Christopher Ramirez, a deputy with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
Ramirez was located, and deputies said he was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Jail for unlawful sexual contact.
Ramire has since been released from jail on a personal recognizance bond following his hearing.
Ramirez has been working for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office since November 2024 and has been assigned to the Detention Security Division.
EPSO said he has been placed on administrative leave.
The incident is under investigation.
