The renovation brings refreshed interiors and two new dining concepts, Field & Vine and Archer
Following an extensive property-wide transformation, Plano’s former NYLO Hotel officially reopened as The Clara Hotel, a reimagined lifestyle hotel featuring refreshed accommodations, a new signature restaurant and an evening cocktail lounge.
The 176-room property remains part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection while introducing a new identity under the ownership of NewcrestImage.
While the renovation includes updated guestrooms, suites and public spaces, the hotel’s next chapter centers on its new food and beverage offerings: Field & Vine and Archer.
Two New Dining Concepts
Designed as destinations in their own right, Field & Vine serves breakfast and dinner with a menu led by Executive Chef Daniel Armand, whose nearly four-decade culinary career has taken him from Haiti and France to New York, Nantucket, the Hamptons and Dallas. His menu blends French technique, Haitian influences, Texas ingredients and seasonal flavors into dishes that are both elevated and approachable.

Harissa honey wings
Steak frites
Heritage chicken
French-style braised short rib
Citrus shrimp linguine
Wild mushroom and truffle risotto
Herb-crusted salmon
The restaurant also features a breakfast menu with fresh-pressed juices, overnight oats, avocado toast, smoked salmon plates, Belgian waffles, breakfast tacos and brioche French toast. An on-site herb garden supplies fresh rosemary, basil, sage, thyme and other herbs used throughout both the food and cocktail menus.

Archer Brings A New Evening Experience
As the day winds down, Archer offers a contrasting atmosphere inside The Clara Hotel.
The new cocktail bar and lounge features rich textures, warm woods, leather seating and low lighting designed to create an intimate setting for conversation. Its navigation-inspired cocktail menu includes drinks such as Polaris, The Meridian, Clara After Dark, Fixed Point, Western Sky and Long After Sunset, alongside a menu of shareable plates including lamb chops, tuna tartare, margherita flatbread and ancient grain hummus.
“Archer was designed to feel like the room the evening finds after sunset,” said Mehul Patel, managing partner at NewcrestImage. “It offers something different from the traditional hotel bar experience. It’s intimate, atmospheric and intentionally designed for guests who appreciate great cocktails, thoughtful conversation and a place that encourages them to stay awhile.”

A New Chapter For A Familiar Property
Located at 8201 Preston Road, The Clara Hotel continues as part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection while introducing a refreshed identity inspired by natural textures, layered lighting and organic materials. In addition to its redesigned guestrooms and suites, the property features updated meeting and event spaces, a heated outdoor pool and a revitalized courtyard designed for weddings, corporate gatherings and social events.
According to the hotel, the goal is to create a destination that welcomes both overnight guests and local visitors through its accommodations, dining and gathering spaces.
