EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Construction at East Cave Park in far East El Paso has officially kicked off, according to the City of El Paso.
The project, part of the Neighborhood Improvement Program V, is focused on bringing practical upgrades that make the park more functional and enjoyable for families in the area. The park is located at 14341 E. Cave Ave.
Improvements include the following, according to the City:
Installation of one full-size post-tension basketball court
Four new picnic tables with concrete slabs
Sidewalk connections to link benches with the walking path and meet ADA standards
Irrigation adjustments to support the new features
City Council approved additional funding for this project on April 1, ensuring the completion of these neighborhood enhancements, according to the City.
Construction is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2026.
