The Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help finding a Corpus Christi native who remains on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list.
According to DPS, Anthony Gonzales, 53, is wanted on warrants for murder, aggravated assault, engaging in organized criminal activity and a parole violation.
Investigators said Gonzales is accused of being involved in a 2008 shooting at a Corpus Christi home that left one person dead and injured two children. A parole warrant was later issued after he failed to comply with the terms of his release.
DPS said Gonzales has ties to the Texas Mexican Mafia gang and should be considered armed and dangerous. His last known location was in Goliad.
Authorities describe Gonzales as a Hispanic man who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He also goes by the names “Ghost” and Anthony Aleman Gonzales. DPS said he has several distinctive tattoos, including “Laura” on his neck, “Lil Laura” on one of his fingers, “Mexicano” on his abdomen, a large tattoo across his chest that includes a dragon and the words “Mi amor sita vida Laura,” a rosary on his left arm and several tattoos on his right arm and right leg.
Authorities are offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to Gonzales’ arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact Texas Crime Stoppers or local law enforcement. Officials warn the public not to approach him.
