Texas A&M University isn’t just building a bigger and better brand, the Aggies are becoming nearly impossible to ignore.
Texas A&M climbed to No. 6 worldwide in American Caldwell’s Global University Visibility Rankings, a dramatic rise from No. 21 in 2024.

The university also jumped from No. 14 to No. 5 among American institutions and remained the nation’s No. 2 public university for a second consecutive year.
The rankings examine how much attention universities generate over a 12-month period, using outside data tied to news coverage, internet searches, social media audiences, website activity and video consumption.
Texas A&M’s numbers show why the Aggies made such a massive leap.
The university generated 108,707 news mentions, the second-highest total of any institution in the world.
Texas A&M also collected 148,216,385 YouTube views, good for sixth globally.
Those figures reveal a university that’s reaching far beyond College Station. Whether people are reading about Texas A&M, searching for its programs, watching Aggies content or following the university online, the school’s digital footprint continues to expand at a staggering pace.
Texas A&M is also the only Southeastern Conference university ranked among the global top 20, giving the Aggies another high-profile bragging point over their SEC rivals.
Ethan Braden, Texas A&M’s vice president and chief marketing and communications officer, said the rising attention represents something bigger than an effective advertising campaign.
“Texas A&M University’s increased visibility reflects more than institutional promotion. It reflects growing national and global interest in the Aggie story,” Braden said. “People are searching for Texas A&M, reading and watching our stories, visiting our channels and encountering our work in the news.
“That creates a larger opportunity, and a larger responsibility, to help people understand who we are, what we stand for, how we serve as a force for good and why Texas A&M matters to Texas, the nation and the world.”
That responsibility will only increase as Texas A&M’s audience grows.
Higher visibility can help the university reach future students, attract faculty, strengthen recruiting, connect with donors and showcase its academic, research and public-service work to people who might never set foot in College Station.
