City officials have launched an online storytelling initiative through the Arlington Listens platform, inviting residents to submit meaningful moments, favorite places and personal experiences that reflect what Arlington has meant to them.
Officials say the project is intended to celebrate not only the city’s history but also the people who have shaped the community over the past 150 years. By collecting stories, the city hopes to create a community-driven record of its milestones, growth and connections through those who know the city best.
The storytelling initiative is one of several events planned during Arlington’s sesquicentennial celebration throughout 2026. City leaders say the stories shared will help preserve Arlington’s legacy for future generations.
