SETX — A Southeast Texas fugitive wanted on multiple warrants was arrested in Mississippi after investigators tracked him to Gulfport.
Beaumont Police Department’s Special Assignment Unit and the Southeast Texas Violent Crime Task Force worked with the Gulfport Police Department and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office in apprehending James Lindsey.
Lindsey was wanted on a motion to revoke probation warrant for aggravated assault on a public servant and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. After learning of the warrants, Lindsey fled Texas in an attempt to evade arrest.
Through investigative efforts, members of the Special Assignment Unit and the Southeast Texas Violent Crime Task Force developed information that Lindsey was in Gulfport. Working with law enforcement partners there, Lindsey was taken into custody.
