COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Texas A&M University Transportation Services is reducing speed limits on various campus thoroughfares ahead of the fall semester.
A recent campus review focused on improving safety identified areas that would benefit from reduced speeds, according to Transportation Services. Members from the division, traffic engineers, university police, and university administration participated in the process, which resulted in a recommendation for and approval of speed limit reductions in multiple areas.
Communication and implementation plans are set to begin this month, with updated signs and new limits to be installed between July 27 and Aug. 21.
