The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Depression Two has formed in the Gulf of America and it could head towards southeast Texas by the end of the week. It will continue to a tropical storm status by Monday morning taking the name of Bertha. Meteorologists expect the storm to move west into southeast Texas by Friday bringing excessive rainfall along the Gulf coast.
Currently, the report says it appears to be just rain, rather than a major rain event.
