State filings show the entertainment brand is planning an 18,000-square-foot indoor playground
Families in Plano may soon have a new place to climb, slide and play. According to a filing submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), Chuck E. Cheese is planning to open an Adventure World location at 801 W. 15th St.
The project calls for converting an existing retail space into an 18,000-square-foot indoor playground. Construction is estimated to cost $850,000, with work expected to begin Sept. 7 and wrap up by Dec. 7, 2026.
A Different Kind of Chuck E. Cheese
Adventure World represents a new direction for the longtime family entertainment brand. Instead of focusing on arcade games and prize counters, the concept centers on active play designed for children ages 3 to 8.
Inside, families can expect multilevel climbing structures, slides, tunnels, a mini soccer court and an interactive dance floor that lights up beneath every step. Unlike many indoor playgrounds, parents are encouraged to join the fun, with no height restrictions preventing them from climbing alongside their kids.

North Texas families may already be familiar with the concept. The first Chuck E. Cheese Adventure World opened in Arlington in November 2025, introducing the company’s expanded vision for indoor family entertainment.
Building On A Growing Concept
Adventure World follows the rollout of Chuck E. Cheese’s Adventure Zones, which debuted in 2024 with trampolines, obstacle courses and other active attractions. After strong response from families, the company has continued investing in play-focused experiences, with additional Adventure World locations planned across the country throughout 2026.
If the Plano project moves forward as scheduled, it will bring the brand’s second Adventure World to North Texas and offer another option for families looking to keep young children active no matter the weather.
