Inside the response: Corpus Christi firefighters deployed to Texas floods

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — After the devastating floods in the Texas Hill Country, first responders from across the state have been deployed to assist with the response. That includes firefighters and paramedics from the Corpus Christi Fire Department.

CCFD personnel were deployed as part of Emergency Medical Task Force 11 (EMTF-11), a regional team of first responders that provides medical support during disasters.

According to the department, Corpus Christi crews have been on the ground since the beginning of the disaster, providing medical support to flood victims and fellow first responders.

In a social media post, the department thanked the Corpus Christi community for supporting a fire department that is “well-trained, well-staffed and well-equipped” to respond when Texans need help.
