BENBROOK- Rosalie “Linda” Jackson, 82, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026 after a brief illness. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Greenwood Funeral Home’s Memorial Suite C, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76107. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76107. Linda was born on Aug. 6, 1943 in Princeton, North Carolina to Claude Franklin Peedin and Ruth M. Anderson Peedin Whitehurst. Linda grew up on a farm in North Carolina, and the woods were her playground. She loved spending her days exploring the outdoors. Whenever she went into town, she would pull a wagon filled with empty soda bottles, trading them in for three cents each. Linda had quite the sweet tooth, so every penny she earned was carefully spent on her favorite treats-ice cream and fudge bars. Even then, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Her life took her on an incredible journey as a military wife and a mother of two children. Later in life she married her current husband, Johnny Jackson, in 1982. They built a beautiful life together, traveling the world. That travel took her to New York, Texas, Japan and even Puerto Rico. Linda embraced every place she lived. She never met a stranger-only friends she hadn’t met yet. For more than 30 years, Linda worked in the banking industry always bringing warmth, laughter, and kindness to everyone she encountered. Around her home, she loved tending to her flowers, pulling weeds, and creating a beautiful space. Her yard wasn’t just a garden-it was a reflection of the love and care which she poured into everything she did. One of her greatest adventures yet was becoming a grandmother to five grandsons. If you knew Linda, you know she loved those boys as if they were her own children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her three sisters, Pat, Edna and Janie; and her daughter, Susan Ennis. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, John W. “Johnny” Jackson, Jr.; her daughter, Donna Ennis; and her cherished grandchildren to great-grandchildren. She will be forever loved and missed.
