Two people have been arrested in connection with a triple shooting in West Dallas on Oct. 5 that left three people dead, according to a news release from Dallas police.

Brian Pineda Ayala, 23, and Jimy Caceres Leiva, 28, were taken into custody in Houston by the Texas Department of Public Safety, police said.

Both of them are each facing a charge of capital murder of multiple persons and will be transported to the Dallas County jail, according to authorities.

Pedro Lara, 21, and Pedro Lara Roa, 47, were fatally shot outside their home in the 3800 block of Bernal Drive. Police said the two victims knew each other.

A third victim was also found shot inside a vehicle at the location. That person has not yet been identified by the police.

The police statement did not provide a motive for the slayings.
