A local favorite for family entertainment is powering down for good in early August, according to the business Facebook page.
Tornado Terry’s Family Amusement Center in Keller posted in June that it’s game over on August 9th due to decreased visitors. The business will celebrate its 35th anniversary on August 1.
The amusement center says they will be holding an auction for all of their game cabinets on August 2nd. They will also be selling commemorative tokens to any customers that want to take a piece of the arcade home.
The closure comes amid construction on Keller Hicks Rd. that has been ongoing since February of 2024, and not expected to be finished until spring of 2027.
