KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Residents in Wyandotte County craving a Cactus Blossom or Chicken Critters soon won’t have to go far.
The national steakhouse chain Texas Roadhouse is planning a new location in Kansas City, Kansas.
The restaurant will be located at 1300 North 98th Street, right across from Menards, just east of I-435. It will be the first one in Wyandotte County.

In May, the Wyandotte County Board of Commissioners approved changing the location from an agriculture district to a planned general business district to build the 7,926 square Texas Roadhouse restaurant.
Texas Roadhouse Inc. – which is headquartered not in Texas but in Louisville, Kentucky – announced plans to expand operations.
Last year, a foodservice industry research firm determined that Texas Roadhouse had become the biggest casual dining chain in the country in terms of sales.
