A decade after opening its doors to help feed families in need, 5 Loaves Food Pantry celebrated its 10-year anniversary Wednesday, Oct. 29, with an open house, ribbon cutting, and a new look — inside and out.
The come-and-go celebration welcomed community members to tour the ministry’s office and pantry, enjoy refreshments, and learn more about the organization’s expanding mission. Guests also gathered outside to admire a new mural by local artist Mark Hernandez, who completed the colorful work just in time for the event despite days of rain.
Executive Director Rebekah Rodgers said the anniversary marked not only a milestone, but a new chapter for the organization, which is now officially known as 5 Loaves Ministries.
“Today’s a special day as we celebrate 10 years of serving and loving and walking alongside families in our community,” Rodgers said. “What began as a small food pantry has become a ministry that feeds both bodies and souls.”
