EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A shooting in northeast El Paso on Wednesday night left a 36-year-old man dead from his injuries, according to authorities.
The El Paso Police Department said officers responded to the 3600 block of Fred Wilson at about 7:12 pm. after receiving a report of a shooting.
According to an EPPD spokesperson, a man has died after being shot following an altercation with a suspect outside an apartment complex.
The El Paso Fire Department had previously stated that the man was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police said the suspect remains at large but there is no threat to the public.
While no other details were immediately released, EPPD said the investigation remains ongoing.
