Arlington Police are encouraging motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area.
ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington residents are asked to avoid West Park Row as crews work a gas leak in the area, according to the Arlington Police department. Atmos Energy told WFAA in a statement the natural gas leak prompted officials to evacuation nearby homes as a precaution.
Police say the gas leak happened at 2819 W. Park Row and that Atmos Energy crews are working to fix it. Officials say the response is expected to take at least three hours but could take longer.
Natural gas has been turned off and Atmos Energy personnel remain on the scene of the leak. Arlington Police are encouraging motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area.
